Will my friends hear a Talking Smiley if I insert it into my IM window?

Assuming they haven't done so already, your friends may need to upgrade their version of Smiley Central in order to hear a Talking Smiley. They will have an opportunity to upgrade their Smiley Central product the first time that someone sends them a Talking Smiley during an IM conversation.

Once you and all of your IM buddies upgrade to the new version, you'll be able to chat with the help of our Talking Smileys...and hear them during your IM conversations as well!

No. Since Talking Smileys are a Flash-based animation, they will not function in an email environment. Talking Smileys can be used, however, with the most popular Instant Messaging products -- including AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and Yahoo Instant Messenger.
