Do I need to register to use Smiley Today?
No, you can enjoy Smiley Today without
registering. However, we encourage you to sign up for an account.
Here are three big advantages to registering:

If you do not have an account, we must limit the
number of modules you add to your Smiley Today page. Otherwise, you
run the risk of your page settings not being stable. This is because
we store your settings on a computer cookie. Once you register,
however, we store your settings on a secure server, which is not only
more reliable, but it allows you to more stuff on your page AND
access your page from any computer.
Do I have to download the free Smiley Central
toolbar to use Smiley Today?
No, you can enjoy Smiley Today without the
toolbar. However, certain features on Smiley Today such as saving smileys,
screensavers or cursors
into special “My” folders for future reference
require that you download the toolbar.

How many modules can I add to my page if I do
not have a Smiley Today account?
If you do not have an account, you are limited
to 19 page modules. When you try to add a 20th module,
you will be asked to register or to remove some modules before adding
new ones.
As an unregistered user, we must limit the number of modules you add to
your page because your page settings are stored on a computer
cookie. Cookies have limited storage capacity, and we want to ensure
that you have the best experience possible. However, should you
register
for a free account, your settings then get stored on one of our secure, stable
servers – so you are no longer limited to the number of modules you
can add. For this reason, we recommend that you sign up for a free
account.
How many modules can I add to my page if I
register?
You can add as many modules as you want, even
the same module more than once. (Which is great if you want to track
weather conditions for different cities, or create “My Links” modules
for different categories, like “Favorite Games” or “Best Gossip
Sites”.)
Please note, however, that the more stuff you
put on your page, the longer it will take for your page to load. If
you have a broadband connection, you would have to add a lot of
modules to notice a difference, but you will see the page load slower
(including your background theme) if you add lots and lots of
modules.
We recommend that you keep your module count
under 20 for best page performance. You can always add modules at any
time by clicking “Edit my page” at the top of your page.
How do I edit my page?
It’s easy! To add more content, change your
page’s wallpaper, or switch from a three to two column layout, just
click the “Edit my page” link above the Smiley Today logo on your
page.

Can I change my page background?
Yes! We provide you with over a dozen fun
background themes, as well as the option to add your own web image,
or use our color sliders to choose any color shade background you
want!

Can I change my cursor from the Smiley Today
page?
Yes! The Cursor of the Day, What's New and Most
Popular modules allows you to
change your cursor just by clicking on the cursor icon. Assuming, of
course, that you have downloaded the latest toolbar version.
